About Sonny

Over 10 years ago I felt God calling me to start a Christ centered baseball program. Fast forward to 2021 and God moved all the right pieces at just the right time so it could all come together perfectly. I am so humble and grateful to have this opportunity to work with this incredible group at FCA San Diego and to be part of the first FCA Sports baseball program in North County.

I have over 20 years of experience in coaching baseball at the high school level and in competitive travel baseball. I was the founder and owner of California Academy Of Baseball in Northern California before relocating to Southern California. I have been on staff as a Varsity hitting and catching coach at Oceanside HS for the past three years.

I am very passionate about incorporating life skills into the game anchored in biblical principles. I cannot wait to see how God will move in the lives of our players and coaches! Christ in the center changes everything.
