Be Still and Acknowledge the Blessings

It has been far too long since I’ve stopped and spent more time reflecting on all the awesome things God is doing in this ministry and with my family. It’s been amazing seeing the new directions we’re going with new campus ministries starting up, new camp opportunities, and more partnerships with the local church. While I could write volumes of God’s faithfulness from the past few months, please allow me to share in as succinct of fashion as I can:

· Our summer camp at UCLA has been so successful that we’re now going to offer a second summer camp following UCLA at UC Davis starting in 2013.

· I am planning to launch 2 different one day sports clinics called power camps in North County in 2013: lacrosse and tennis.

· We had a successful leadership training at Petco Park on September 29 and are looking to launch another training for the North County in November.

· On Monday October 15th, we will be starting the process of launching a new FCA Huddle at Martin Luther King Middle School in Oceanside.

· At Cesar Chavez Middle School in Oceanside, 50-60 students are attending every week and growing. This represents close to 10% of the student body.

· Carlsbad High School has had student testimonies shared every other week so far this year and last week there were 5 local churches represented to support the student body and make connections.

· Calvary Chapel Oceanside has been heavily invested at Oceanside High and El Camino High for 2 years and has now extended the opportunity for me to share with their church about FCA to potentially gain financial support.

· FCA San Diego has hired 4 new staff in the summer and I’ve had the opportunity to do some mentoring of our new staff in the area.

· Current donors continue to create new relationships and are helping me fundraise to provide our campuses with all that they need.

· Coaches ministry is growing on our campuses and both Vista and Rancho Buena Vista are prime to launch a Coaches Bible Study on campus.

· My partnership with North Coast Calvary Chapel continues to foster chances for me to teach on leadership and provide further opportunities for our FCA Leaders to delve deeper into what it means to lead for Christ.

We truly are blessed in this ministry. Thank you so much for your support of what God is doing through FCA and it’s an honor to serve alongside you. Blessings to you today and have a great weekend!

Tami - What a wonderful wesitbe and such an inspiring love story! You've had me laughing and crying (sometimes both at the same time). I wish you both many more years of such sweet and happy memories. You will be so glad to have these videos to reminisce over during the years to come. Thank you for reminding me to enjoy every moment and cherish the people I love most. I've had a tough time looking beyond my current struggles lately so this was just the refreshing wake-up call I needed.I send you both (virtual) hugs. May God bless you with good health, peace and love!

My son, Isaac will be a Freshman at Torrey Pines High School next year. I would really like for him to get involved with FCA. He plays soccer for Surf Soccer Club. He has a tender heart for thre Lord. Can you give me some information on upcoming events and how to get him involved? We currently go to Horizon Rancho Santa Fe.

I'm not sure why but this blog is loading very
slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it
a problem on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
