Hello Friends and Family,
First and foremost I want to thank everyone for their prayers, financial support, and encouragement as I continue my adventure as an FCA area representative. In March, some changes will be coming to my job description. In an effort to stabilize my financial support, I will be stepping back from campus ministry and focusing 100% on fundraising. While the campus, camp, and coaches ministry has flourished in the 16 months that I've been on staff, my funding has been rather stagnant in its growth and it's time that my focus goes completely to that in order for me to continue to succeed in winning souls for Christ.
While it is very difficult to step away from the coaches and athletes that I've built relationships with on campus, I'm very excited about working towards becoming fully funded and bridging the gap from my $1,800 per month of giving to my fully funded goal of $6,721 per month of giving. I have taken this battle on too long without inviting my supporters and providing opportunity to help me grow financially in this ministry. As I've been praying about what this means for my ministry, here's how I feel you can help in the next 6 months:
* March 8-11, fellow FCA staffer Brian Schroeder and I have been selected to attend a national fundraising event in Fayetville, Arkansas to represent the western region of FCA. This event will cost me $1,200 to attend. I am praying for twelve $100 gifts by March 7th to underwrite this incredible opportunity to learn how to be more successful as a fundraiser and also to return to San Diego with the tools to teach our fellow staff. Will you consider giving towards this opportunity? (To give please go to www.sandiegofca.org/donate, click specific FCA Staff and find Matt Clinton on the drop down menu or send a check to P.O. Box 2226 Oceanside, CA, 92051.)
* I am looking to expand my network to specifically raise funds and would love each of you to prayerfully consider providing three names or introductions so that I can continue to share about this fantastic ministry and invite others to join my support team.
* If you have the passion to host, would you consider hosting a dessert or coffee with your network so that I can present the ministry?
* My goal is to be back on campus by September 1, doing full time campus ministry once again. In order for this to happen, we have to pray, pray, pray.
Out of respect to your time, I will end here. It's time for my team to grow and as I pray for opportunities, I also pray that we can work together as a team to grow as one body as Paul so eloquently states in 1 Corinthians 12. I may be just one eye or ear, but together we make the body and together we will succeed for Christ. Have a blessed day.
