the Power of Parents

Parents are a huge part of the success of an FCA huddle. Groups of parents get together and form a Parent Ministry Team (PMT) to support what their kids are doing on campus in the huddle. These PMT’s pray for the huddle, provide food, help recruit speakers, and encourage the student leads.

A huddle that has a PMT has a regular group of adults who are going before the Creator of the universe to ask Him to bless their efforts in changing the local campus. I have personaly seen the power affect a huddle in both attendence numbers and effectiveness.

Plus how cool is it for a parent to see their student sharing their faith with their friends right in the middle of a public school campus.

What are some other ways that parents can help the huddle?

My relationship with Dublin City Council is an eclteed member. I was nominated by Fine Gael on Dublin City council after I expressed an interest in being nominated. I have found my involvement with the Hospital to be useful in giving me an insight into how Hospitals are run and the issues that arise. Crumlin Childrens Hospital enjoys a good reputation and my constituents have an interest in ensuring that this reputation is secured and developed. We need more accountability in Irish public life and I believe that my role on Board helps to ensure the public interest is protected. It might be useful for City councillors to be nominated to Boards such as major banks !!I am seeking to be eclteed on the basis of merit, rather than any cronyism or nepotism.

Let us know what key we should be using. Also, a caopitn area with the instructions would be beneficial, i.e.: Draw the first three, blow the first, three, etc.; maybe having it all written and then light up karaoke style. Visuals work really well for a lot of us.It looks like there will be a timer, which will help for rewinding and fast forwarding for review.
